Kajal Manohar/Jaipur. Dayashankar Sharma, a resident of Jaipur Rural, Rajasthan, is playing an important role in spreading the identity of North Indian cuisine abroad. For this, he has been honored not only in India but also in foreign countries. Recently he received the Better Kitchen Award in Mumbai.
For making Indian cuisine famous abroad, Dayashankar Sharma has been honored by England with the Michelin Plaque from 2018 to 20 and the Michelin Guide Award from 2021 to 2023. Let us tell you that both these awards are given for the highest food performance in the food industry.
The Parliament of England also honored
Dayashankar Sharma started his food journey in the year 1989 with a Food Diploma. After getting the diploma, he got the opportunity to work in Oberoi of Delhi and later in Taj Group. After this he went to Sri Lanka. He stayed here for many years. After this he went to England. Dayashankar Sharma told that he has been honored in the Parliament of England in 2021 for giving a new identity to Indian desi food in India and outside India. Dayashankar Sharma has given special recognition to Indian cuisine in many countries like France, Switzerland, Singapore, Dubai, England etc. In North Indian food, he represents the food of Rajasthani, UP, Delhi, Punjab. Till now he has received awards 13-14 times outside the country.
I woke up to the art of cooking after seeing my mother.
Dayashankar Sharma told that his father used to work in Bandikui (Dausa). The whole family lived with him. He had a farm in the village, so his mother would sometimes come to the village to look after the farm. Then he had to cook food and give it to his father. In such a situation, his interest in cooking gradually increased. After this he has also completed BA degree along with Hotel Diploma.
Own two restaurants in England
Dayashankar Sharma told that he has two restaurants in England. Their names are Heritage Dulwich and Jhakas England. Crowds gather in both the restaurants to eat Indian dishes. The name of Dinesh Chune’s restaurant comes from the name of the Indian restaurant in the whole of England. Let us tell you that Dayashankar Sharma also goes abroad to give lectures to students in hotels-restaurants, schools-colleges.
